AWS: ER316, ER316L Stainless welding wire is designed to be used for welding similar alloys containing approximately 2% molybdenum.Used for welding similar alloys (containing approximately 2% molybdenum). Also used for high temperature service applications. The maximum carbon content is maintained at or below 0.03% to increase resistance to intergranular corrosion. Can be used for welding molybdenum-bearing austenitic alloys containing 0.03% maximum carbon.
