AWS A5.15 ENiCu-B
Characteristics and Application
Pure nickel cast iron electrode AWS A5.15 ENiCu-B is suitable for the welding of gray iron castings with less strength demanding . Characteristics: it is the cast iron electrode with nickel-copper alloy (Monet) welding core and strong reduction of graphite coating. It can be used in AC and DC dual purpose, has stable arc, and is easy to operate. The process of welding and cutting performance of that electrode is close to THZ308, but the crack resistance of it is poor because of the high shrinkage of the deposited metal. Welded joint strength is low, so it should not be used for welding forced parts and it can be used for normal or low temperature preheated to about 300 oc gray cast iron welding.

Notes on usage:
1.Before welding, the electrodes need to be baked for 1 hour with the temperature of 150±10℃ before using.
2. When welding, it is appropriate to take narrow weld and each weld length should not exceed 50mm. Hammer the welding area lightly with a hammer immediately after welding in order to eliminate stress and prevent cracks.
