ER316L is an austenitic stainless steel welding wire suitable to weld base metals of similar compositions like AISI 316 and AISI 316L. The low carbon content reduces the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation and increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion. It is also suitable for welding steel stabilized with Titanium (Ti) or Niobium (Nb). Superior corrosion resistance compared to 308L.

AWS Classification: ER316L. Conforms to AWS A5.9/ASME SFA-A5.9.
Rod size: 3/32" (2.4mm) dia. x 36" (915mm) length. Single end stamping (0.045" and below may be without stamp).
ER316L is to weld 316 and 316L stainless steels; 0.03% maximum carbon content to provide resistance against intergranular corrosion and 2-3% molybdenum increases corrosion resistance; good bead-wetting characteristics, great puddle control and clean welds with minimal smut.
